Civil engineering is the oldest of the main branches of engineering. Civil engineers use their knowledge to plan, supervise, and construct projects such as roads, airports, bridges, canals, tunnels, pipelines, offshore platforms, hydraulic structures, irrigation, and wastewater systems. They also collaborate with architects to design and construct various types of buildings. Civil engineers try to design their structures to be safe, functional, economical, and durable. They use their expertise to minimise environmental impact due to constructional activities. Hence it is imperative that the incremental steps occurring in the above fields be discussed and debated on a single platform so that future research can be streamlined and sharpened to solve the socially relevant complex problems. It is expected that this conference will promote scientific information interchange between researchers, developers, engineers, students, and practitioners working in and around the world.
